Two Nigerians big boys, 34-year old Akala Temitayo Akintunde, from Iwo, Osun-State, and 31-year old Azeez Lamidi, from Ago-Iwoye, Ogun-State died early Saturday morning, June 13th after leaving two Malaysian night clubs, Club Rain and HQ, after the performances of Olamide and Lil'Kesh.
Their car reportedly skidded off the road and plunged into the pond behind a sharp bend off a carriage way. The rescue team were able to recover the vehicle 15m deep, 4 hours later.
Police Commissioner, Abdul Aziz Ali, said the accident occurred because the driver was not used to the notorious bend. He ruled out any suspicion of drunk-driving.
“The men were driving along Puchong Permal Road where there’s a dangerous bend very close to a cliff but they failed to follow the U-Shape of the road and plunged into the mining pond, there’s no alcohol in their system at all”, he said.
Their remains have been deposited at the hospital and the Malaysian authorities are awaiting instruction from Nigeria Embassy on how to send back the bodies back to Nigeria..... R.I.P to them.
