It Is Evidence Of Desperation – Atiku Mocks APC For Begging Joe Biden To Congratulate Tinubu

Shaibu described FFK’s action as appalling advising Tinubu and his team to stop forcing foreign countries to recognize the sham election conducted by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

 
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar has lashed out at the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Organisation accusing it of desperation.
 
This comes after the party begged the United States President, Joe Biden to congratulate the President-elect, Bola Tinubu.
 
The former Vice President in a statement on Thursday, through his Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu, described the recent remark of APC chieftain, Femi Fani-Kayode, as evidence of desperation.
 
The APC PCC Director of New Media, Femi Fani-Kayode, said although the U.S. State Department and ambassador had congratulated Tinubu and there was a need for Biden to do the same.
 
FFK further urged Joe Biden to pick up the phone and congratulate Tinubu adding Nigeria is a big nation and does not deserve any less.
 
Shaibu described FFK’s action as appalling advising Tinubu and his team to stop forcing foreign countries to recognize the sham election conducted by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
 
According to him, the former governor of Lagos State is running from pillar to post, begging the Western powers to recognize him after benefiting from the worst and most fraudulent election in the history of Nigeria.
 
Shaibu recalled the days of Sani Abacha when the maximum ruler tried to ingratiate himself with the West after refusing to recognise M.K.O. Abiola as the winner of the June 12 election.
 
He noted that the U.S. Ambassador to Nigeria, Mary Beth Leonard stated expressly that the country’s general poll was below the expectation of Nigerians.
 
Shaibu added that several credible media houses locally and internationally, as well as EU observers, have all questioned the credibility of this election, yet, Tinubu and his ilk want a stamp of approval on it.
