Emmanuel directed the police to return the case file to the Kaduna State Directorate of Public Prosecution, (DPP).
Two men, Nathan Cletus, 35 and Oscar Williams, 38 have been remanded in prison over alleged kidnap attempt of two ladies.
The order was given by a Kaduna Chief Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.
The defendants both residents of the millennium city, Kaduna, were charged with criminal conspiracy and attempted kidnap.
The Magistrate, Ibrahim Emmanuel did not take the plea of the suspects due to lack of jurisdiction.
Emmanuel directed the police to return the case file to the Kaduna State Directorate of Public Prosecution, (DPP).
He, thereafter, adjourned the matter until May. 15 for mention.
Earlier, the Prosecution Counsel, Insp Chidi Leo, told the court that the defendants and others at large, on Feb. 20, at about 1 p.m. along Maraba Rido Road, attempted to kidnap two ladies.
Leo said that the defendants were using a black coloured Honda car with Reg No: AZM 511 GK.
He said the defendants offered the ladies ride in their car, while they were waiting for a commercial vehicle. When they refused, the defendants tried to force them into the car.
Leo further said the ladies raised alarm and the defendants were caught and handed over to the police while the others ran away.
He said the offence contravened the provisions of sections 412 and 516 of the Penal Code of Kaduna State.
