SHOCKING: Niger Delta Youths Taking Up Arms Against The Government Again

 

Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshall Alex Badeh has diclosed a shocking incidence as regards to some Niger Delta youths taking up arms for nefarious activities in the creeks.

Air Mashal Alex Badeh made the revelation during the inauguration ceremony of the permanent complex of the Headquarters of the Joint Task Military Force, Operation Pulo Shield, along Igbogene/Okolobiri road in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

“Criminalities in the Niger Delta, we thought, have stopped but now they are on the rise again. But I know that our gallant men and women are equal to the task. We are after the bad men, we are good men and darkness can never overtake light. No nation can develop in the presence of so much criminality”. Badeh stated.

According to him, this lays the foundation for the furtherance of more crimes in the region as it was experienced in the past. Proliferation of arms in the region will lead to  of oil theft, kidnapping and other criminal activities in the region.

The Federal Government maybe forced to have a review of its agreement with the Niger Delta youths who are going back to their old ways of taking up arms to hold the government to ransome.
