Uriel Oputa
Ex-BBNaija housemate, Uriel Oputa has expressed displeasure over societal double standards in relationships
She pointed out the hypocrisy in how society views relationships between older women and younger men versus older men and younger women.
The chef noted that when women date younger men, they are often subjected to age shaming and rejection, while men who date younger women are praised and accepted.
She emphasized that as long as both parties are of legal age, their relationship choices should be respected and not judged.
Uriel argued that love knows no age and that people’s readiness for settlement varies, regardless of age.
She concluded by urging people to stop judging others and let them live their lives.
She wrote;
“When women Date younger men They get age shamed and rejected. When a man Dates a younger woman The younger woman gets called a Gold digger The man is praised and accepted. Look!! if both parties are of legal age Leave them alone Love is love.Love is love. I know some 35 to 43 year old men who aren’t ready to settle down I know a 28 year old man married. As long as both parties are of legal age Let people live. Stop judging others Life isn’t straight forward like that.”
