Former Turkish referee Ahmed Çakar has expressed curiosity about Victor Osimhen's next move, suggesting the striker might be delaying in anticipation of a potential transfer to the English Premier League.
There are stories linking the Super Eagles attacker with some top clubs in the English Premier League.
But the former Lille man has received offers from clubs in other leagues such as the Saudi Pro League and Turkish League.
Osimhen is yet to make a decision on the club he would play for next season as he remains out of favour at Napoli, especially under Antonio Conte.
His current deal at Napoli would last for one more year but there is no future for him at the Serie A champions having played last season on loan at Galatasaray.
Galatasaray wants to retain the services of the Nigeria International but Napoli’s €75 million valuation is proving a major stumbling block while the player is yet undecided.
The likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea might not be able to sign Osimhen due to the forward’s wage demands.
In quotes relayed by habersarikirmizi, Çakar told Sabah: “I wonder what Osimhen is waiting for.
“Even though he received a contract from Saudi Arabia that he would hardly earn again in his life, he didn’t go there, at least not for now. I think he is chasing England or another big league.”
Çakar further stated that Turkish giants, Galatasaray are still interested in signing the Nigeria International.
