A video has surfaced online showing the moment a fan sprayed veteran Nigerian singer 9ice with N5 notes.

The incident happened during a performance at a local event over the weekend..

The video shows the man joyfully throwing the low-denomination notes at the artiste while others in the crowd watched in surprise.

While some attendees laughed it off as harmless fun, others described it as “insulting” and “disrespectful” to a respected figure in the Nigerian music industry.

The incident has left tongues wagging on social media.
