Delta state university has imposed some strict rules and regulations in the school which concerns the reduction in the number of campus fellowships and a ban on wearing of mini-skirts among female students to curb indecent dressing.
The authorities of the Delta State University, Abraka on Saturday, 26th of June, 2015 banned the wearing of miniskirts and insisted there must be a reduction of fellowship centres in the three University campuses.
According to the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Vincent Peretemode, the three campuses in question have over 80 fellowships which must now be reduced to four.
He said the fellowships which would hence forth be allowed in the campuses will be the Catholic, Anglican, Joint Christian Campus Fellowship and Our Saviours Chapel.
There have been reactions to these recent developments but it seems the authorities of the school are not interested in a u-turn.
