Halima Abubakar, the Nollywood actress, has opened up emotionally about being evicted from her home, describing the ordeal as deeply distressing while she continues to face ongoing health challenges.
The actress said she was asked to vacate the apartment despite attempting to pay her rent with money that had been sent to her by well-wishers to support her medical care.
According to Abubakar, her caretaker informed her that the landlady no longer wanted her to remain in the house.
She said she pleaded for understanding, explaining that she had funds available, but was still asked to leave.
The actress expressed confusion over the development, stating that she did not understand what she had done wrong to warrant the eviction.
Visibly emotional in the video, Abubakar said the situation left her feeling isolated and overwhelmed, adding that being displaced while facing health related issues had made the experience even more painful.
