A Nigerian father of five daughters, who was once ridiculed and silenced at a kindred meeting for not having a male child, has now welcomed a set of twin boys.
One of his employees, Emmanuel Eze-Chukwu, who attended the church dedication of the children in Awka, Anambra State last Sunday, disclosed this in a Facebook post.
According to Emmanuel, his boss faced mockery for not having a male, with some people telling him that his wealth is useless without a son to inherit it and carry on his legacy.
Emmanuel further revealed that some friends advised his boss to marry another woman who could bear male children for him.
Fortunately, his wife conceived again and gave birth to a set of two boys in October 2025.
“My boss got married in February, 2011. By 2020, he and his wife already had six children, all females. Sadly, they lost one of them,” he wrote.
My boss happens to be the only son of his parents. So, as an Igbo man, he needed a son who would carry-on his family name.
He had acquired many landed properties. Numerous landed properties.
In his hometown alone, he has more than 40 plots of land he acquired by purchase. He has other ones he inherited.
Last year, he commenced building a massive house in his hometown that made people wonder whom he is building the house for.
He has houses in other places too. Some people openly asked him why he was building those kind of houses when he has only female children.
Some friends advised that he should get another lady who could give him male children.
I'm certain this gave him a serious concern and, no doubt, his wife feared that he would get a mistress purposely for having a male child.
She didn't have a strong say where other women gathered.
There is a story that, at a certain meeting, a man went to the extent of asking my boss why he would be talking when people that are men were talking, all because my boss had no male child.
Well, on 12 October last year, God blessed my boss with a twin baby boys. God showed him that the thought of man is not the thought of God. That God is not a man.
It is this reason that made us to gather at St. Patrick's Cathedral, Awka today to thank God for this gift He gave to my boss and his family. Praise the Lord.
