Windstorm Wreaks Havoc in Kebbi, Destroys Homes and Food Stores Across Suru Communities

According to reports, windstorms have devastated homes, food storage facilities, and property valued at millions of naira in a number of communities throughout Kebbi State's Suru Local Government Area.

Sambera, Jeroki, Becinga, Nassarawa, Tunga Soja, Tauken Mage, Tunga Muminu Oro, and Ciwan Wanzam are among the impacted communities, according to Faruku Abubakar Maisudan, a member of the Kebbi State House of Assembly who represents the Suru Constituency.

He told reporters this after visiting the affected communities to gauge the extent of the damage and express sympathy for the victims.

He claimed that the storm, which hit on Wednesday night, caused extensive damage in the surrounding districts and forced several families to relocate after their homes were destroyed or severely damaged.

"My heart goes out to you in this difficult moment, and I urge you to accept it as a trial from Almighty Allah," he said, confirming that no lives were lost during the incident.

In order to win immediate government involvement, the politician promised the victims that he would bring up the issue before the Assembly and Governor Nasir Idris.

"I'll make sure the proper authorities are informed of your condition so that you can get help right away," he declared.

Alongside the congressman on the evaluation tour, representatives from the Kebbi State Emergency Management Agency promised prompt assistance and supplies for the impacted locals.
