Two teenagers have d!ed and a third is fighting for his life following a multi-vehicle crash on the A13 in Newham, east London.
Emergency services were called to the eastbound carriageway at 8:15 p.m. on Thursday, where two young men aged 18 and 19 were pronounced d£ad at the scene despite the efforts of responders to save them.
Three other people were taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service, including a 16-year-old boy with life-threatening injuries.
Three men aged 18, 19, and 23 have since been arrested on suspicion of causing d£ath by dangerous driving and failing to stop.
They remain in custody as enquiries continue within the Metropolitan Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit.
Footage circulating on social media appears to show a vehicle engulfed in flames following the crash.
Authorities have urged members of the public to refrain from sharing the footage out of respect for the victims and their families.
Detective Chief Inspector James Beck said the thoughts of the unit remain with the victims' loved ones, and appealed to anyone with information or dashcam footage to come forward.
