Ogun Politician Gives 50 Women Cash Ahead of 2027 Election

An APC chieftain in Ogun State has given cash to 50 women to help their businesses and get them to support the party's candidate for governor in 2027.

Titi Fagbote, known as Ayoka, handed out money to hairdressers, fashion designers and elderly women in Yewa North Local Government Area.

The programme also launched a group called Ayoka Women for Yayi to mobilize grassroots backing for Senator Solomon Adeola, the APC's expected candidate.

Fagbote said she did this to show what she's learned from following Adeola and to share the responsibility of helping people instead of leaving it all to him.

She praised Adeola for the development work he's done in Yewa North, saying residents see and feel the impact of his projects.

Fagbote told the women to spread word about Adeola's achievements as a senator and his plans for the state heading into the 2027 election.

She stressed that empowering women strengthens entire families and communities because what helps mothers also helps their children and husbands.

Someone speaking on behalf of Adeola's wife defended the senator against criticism about where he's from.

She said opponents keep claiming he's from Ekiti State but can't point to the exact area, adding that these attacks are desperate attempts by political rivals to damage his reputation.

She said Adeola is actually from Ilaro in Yewa South and that his track record of helping communities is why the opposition is so anxious about him.

One beneficiary thanked the programme organisers and asked people across Ogun State to support Adeola in the coming election.
