The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, has approved the movement of senior officers to new positions across the Nigerian Army.
The redeployment is meant to improve how the army operates, strengthen leadership and adapt the command structure to Nigeria's security challenges.
The Acting Director of Army Public Relations, Colonel Appolonia Anele, announced the changes on Wednesday.
The exercise focused on critical military operations and important positions to make sure experienced officers are placed where they can work best.
Major General IA Ajose has been moved from Army Headquarters to the Joint Task Force North East, Operation HADIN KAI, where he will serve as Theatre Commander.
Major General AE Abubakar, who previously worked in Operation HADIN KAI, has been moved to the Nigerian Army Heritage and Future Centre as Dean of the Faculty of Operational Research.
Major General AM Alechenu has been transferred to the Nigerian Army Heritage and Future Centre from Defence Headquarters Garrison.
Major General RT Utsaha moves from Army Headquarters to Defence Headquarters Garrison as Commander.
Major General AM Umar has moved to the Army War College Nigeria as Commandant from Army Headquarters.
Major General UM Alkali takes over his position at the Department of Civil-Military Affairs.
Major General GS Muhammed has been moved to the Nigerian Army Finance Corporation as Director General from the Office of the National Security Adviser.
Major General JE Osifo moves from the corporation to the Military Pension Board as Chairman.
Major General IE Ekpenyong has been redeployed to Defence Headquarters as Director of Engineering Services.
At the operational level, Brigadier General AA Bello has been moved to Defence Headquarters from the Joint Task Force South-South, Operation DELTA SAFE.
Brigadier General MS Adamu has been moved to the newly created 8 Brigade as Commander from the Nigerian Army Women Command.
Brigadier General MS Sule moves to the 27 Task Force Brigade as Commander from Operation ENDURING PEACE.
Brigadier General I Sule has been moved to 6 Division Garrison as Commander from the Directorate of Recruitment Management. Brigadier General E Azenda moves to 2 Division Garrison as Commander from the Land Forces Simulation Centre.
Brigadier General AS Bugaje has been transferred to the Land Forces Simulation Centre from 2 Division Garrison.
Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu told the newly appointed officers to show they deserve the trust placed in them through strong leadership, new operational ideas, professionalism and hard work.
He urged them to stay focused on the army's duty to defend Nigeria, protect its borders and help civilian authorities maintain peace and security.
The Army said it remains committed to keeping strong leadership and using its forces effectively to improve operations, increase coordination between different agencies and strengthen its ability to respond to new security threats.
