Natasha Osawaru Idibia, wife of musician 2Baba and a lawmaker in Edo State, has declared she will become President of Nigeria.
She made the declaration while celebrating her grandfather, Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, who turned 92 in Benin City.
Natasha expressed her love for him and promised to achieve the presidency while he is still alive to see it.
Speaking emotionally to her grandfather, she said she would make him proud and asked God to preserve his life for many more years.
She said every day with him is one of his best days and promised to continue improving herself for his sake.
Natasha represents Egor Constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly and currently serves as Minority Leader, a position she gained in August after moving to the National Democratic Congress from the Peoples Democratic Party in May 2026.
She had previously served as Deputy Majority Leader.
When she became minority leader, she described the role as a trust rather than just a title, saying democracy thrives on debate and accountability.
The NDC became the main opposition party in the Assembly after three lawmakers defected to it from the APC and PDP.
“I promise you, I will be the President of this country.”
