Nigeria's First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has given five million naira to beneficiaries of the Renewed Hope Initiative Agricultural Support Programme in Anambra State to help their businesses grow.
The money was handed over on behalf of the First Lady by Anambra State Governor's wife Nonye Soludo at an event in Awka.
The donation came after the beneficiaries gave the First Lady a warm welcome during her visit to the state last Thursday, when they presented a token of support for President Tinubu and his administration ahead of the 2027 election.
The First Lady was so moved by the gesture, which she described as unprecedented, that she decided to give them five million naira in return.
Soludo said the gift was a reminder of the value of kindness and appreciation.
The Renewed Hope Initiative Agricultural Support Programme aims to help vulnerable households and improve access to nutritious food, particularly for nursing mothers and people facing food shortages.
