Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has spoken about why he avoids rapping in English.
In a recent episode of The Fuse, he said he always feels inferior when he raps in English.
He said he started out rapping in English but later switched to Twi, his native language.
Sarkodie also said that he feels stronger and more confident rapping in his local dialect.
"Rapping in Twi is my superpower," he said.
"I express myself way better in my mother's tongue.
The emotions I want to put out come out best when I rap in my native language."
He added that he once felt like he was beneath other artists when rapping in English.
"But when I rap in Twi, I feel equal to any other rapper in the world," he said.
