According to fresh reports, Everton has rejected a £20 million bid from Chelsea for English footballe, John Stones.
Sky Sports, the Daily Telegraph and Daily Mail said that Chelsea made a bid for the England international this week but Everton were not interested in doing business.
The Telegraph reports that, while Chelsea is expected to return with an improved offer, Everton is under no financial pressure to sell and have no intention of cashing in on Stones, who has four years remaining on his contract.
Sky said that Everton has told Chelsea the player is not for sale.
Chelsea captain John Terry said last month that he was "a big fan" of the 21-year-old centre-back, who joined Everton from Barnsley for £3m in 2013, but Stones said at a fan event in Singapore on Thursday night that he is "very happy" at Goodison Park.
