Ibikunle Amosun, the Ogun State Governor, has slammed the activities of Nigerian insurgents, Boko Haram.
Speaking at the Muslim praying ground on Friday, July 18, 2015 during the Eid-el-Fitri celebration, Amosun described the Boko Haram sect as a shame to the country.
Ibikunle joined several Muslims at the praying ground in Abeokuta, shortly after the Eid-el-Fitr prayer, to celebrate the end of Ramadan.
Amosun's outcry is coming after double explosions, suspected to have been carried out by the insurgents in Damaturu, Yobe State, occurred.
In the same vein, the Chief of Army Staff, Maj.-Gen. T. Y. Buratai, has urged Nigerians to "stay calm and be security conscious."
He recently said, "No amount of terrorist act would deter our resolve to stamp out terrorism and insurgency."
