Popular Prophet, Destiny Onwudinjo Commits Suicide in Kirikiri Prison

 

According to P.M news, Prophet Destiny Onwudinjo of the Heaven Divine Ministry, in Shasha, Lagos has allegedly committed suicide in the Kirikiri maximum prison out of frustration. He was serving a 7-year jail term before his demise.

 

It should be recalled that the prophet was charged to court after brutalising an Okada rider in Lagos due to the man's refusal to pay him a sum of N120,000 needed for a spiritual deliverance session which would involve 7 days of fasting and prayers. The motorcyclist opted to fast on his own due to his poor financial state. This decision didn't go down well with the late prophet who physically assaulted him.

 

While in court, Destiny Onwudinjo jumped off the court dock and tried to escape. He was nabbed on the street and given a jail term of 7 years by the presiding Magistrate P.E. Nwaka of Ejigbo Court .

 

He got fed up with his life a few months into his jail term and decided to take his own life. According to his co-inmates, the deceased hit his head severally on the walls of his cell till it burst open and blood gushed out.

 

He was taken to the hospital where he finally gave up the ghost.
