3 PDP Governors To Accompany Buhari On Cameroon Trip

Three governors of PDP will be joining President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday as he leaves Nigeria to begin a two-day visit to Cameroon where he plans to build a more effective regional coalition against Boko Haram

 
According to P.M news, President Muhammadu Buhari will be accompanied by a number of three state governors of the People's Democratic Party, PDP, as he heads to Cameroon to cement his talks on a regional coalition to tackle the menace of Boko Haram terrorism in the region. The opposition party governors have been listed as Ben Ayade of Cross River State, Mr Darius Ishaku of Taraba State and Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State.
 
Other governors from the All Progressives Congress, APC namely Kashim Shettima of Borno State, Mohammed Bindow of Adamawa State and Samuel Ortom of Benue State will also accompany the team of Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Defence and the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency.
 
The visit is expected to last for two days.  President Buhari will hold talks in Yaounde with President Paul Biya and senior Cameroonian Government officials on security issues.

Both leaders will discuss further joint measures to curb terrorism, violent extremism and other cross-border crimes with President Biya and Cameroonian government officials. President Buhari will also be using the opportunity of his visit to Yauonde to meet with Nigerians living in Cameroon.

Buhari after his return is scheduled to visit Benin Republic on Saturday for talks with President Boni Yayi to round-off the diplomatic shuttles to neighbouring countries.
