New reports reaching us states that the Deputy Governor of Borno State, Zannah Umar Mustapha is dead.
According to a reliable source, the deputy governor died in his sleep while on an official trip to Yola.
He had gone to Yola to represent the state government at a convocation ceremony at Moddibo Adama University in Yola.
The remains of Zannah Umar was reportedly discovered in the room at about 8am today, August 15, 2015, when he was not seen coming round for his morning prayer.
His corpse has been deposited at the mortuary, while preparation is being made for his burial.
