Ladies Will Rethink After Seeing This - Elderly Women Reveal What They'd Do Differently if They Were Young Again

The video that will make every busy woman rethink her lifestyle: Elderly ladies reveal what they would do differently if they were young again...and their responses will make you question everything.

With working hours extending and social media piling on the pressure to look good, it’s little surprise that many women are teetering on the brink when it comes to their physical and mental health.

In fact, according to research by Sanctuary Spa, a staggering 12m women feel they're about to burn out, four out of five women say they put too much pressure on themselves to be perfect and 80% don't feel good enough.

In light of the findings, the iconic spa brand created a video with advice from older women who believe they know the importance of appreciating life’s precious moments - and it is sure to make every modern woman re-think her hectic lifestyle. The two minute video sees mature women discussing modern women's lifestyles.

The video, which forms part of Sanctuary Spa's #LetGo campaign, highlights how women put too much pressure on themselves to be perfect - even though research reveals that they accomplish an average of 26 tasks a day.

The research identified what women feel most pressured to achieve, with women stating they feel pressured to balance everything at once (36%), be interesting (33%) and intelligent (29 %).

Being the perfect wife (27%), mother (26%) and employee (20%) all also came in the top 10 pressures for women. The trend for over-achieving and under-believing has been identified by life strategist, Jenni Trent Hughes, She said:

'When put into context how much women accomplish on a daily basis, it’s alarming how many women still consistently feel like they need to do more, be more and give more.

Today’s women are luckier than the generations that came before them. In many cases we have more help, information, labour saving devices than our mothers and grandmothers could ever imagine. Yet so many women cannot, or will not let go.

If you have a piece of equipment that is very important to you, chances are you take good care of it because you know that’s how to get the best out of it. Looking at the research it’s clear that women need to apply this logic to themselves and let go every now and again.

This could be sitting on a park bench in the sunshine, turning off the mobile and having a long soak or taking a gym class. Whatever suits the individual – sometimes the right action is no action.'

Fiona Phillips, who is an ambassador for the campaign, added: 'Most women will relate to this research, Jenni calls it the Cult of Never Good Enough and I agree that the endless lists of things to accomplish are exhausting. It’s time for women to stop stressing about the little things and try to just Let Go … I know I have!'.
