Unbelievable! Meet Man Living With Snake, Says It is His Grandfather's Spirit (Photo+Video)

 

 

The police have arrested a man for being in possession of wildlife. The man whose actions went viral recently by moving with a snake in his trousers has now been identified by the police as Rabson Mkandawire also known as Dr. Simbazako.

 

Dr. Simbazako yesterday visited Zambia Wildlife Authority (ZAWA) offices to follow-up on discussions to obtain a certificate to domesticate his snake. Dr. Simbazako who is a health practitioner explained that the reptile is nothing but his grandfather’s spirit.

 

“I could not come with the snake here, but as you know ‘spirits’ need to be treated with the respect they deserve,” he said.

 

He also said that since he took the snake to Chingwere Cemetary over the weekend, he has faced challenges in convincing the spirits to be brought to ZAWA for the certification and they have given ZAWA a period of 21 days to approve his request. The man said: "My annoyed grand father’s spirit instructed me to give ZAWA 21 days to sort out and give me a Certificate."

ZAWA is now making efforts to help him with a license to posses the reptile and give him handling guidelines so that in future the snake does not lead to public panic.
