There was so much drama yesterday, 29th of October at the Senate during the confirmation process of former Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers state with the opposition lawmakers fighting to stall his confirmation.

People's Democratic Party, PDP senators in the senate yesterday staged a walk out over Rotimi Amaechi’s ministerial confirmation.

The PDP senators were against his nomination and believe he should not be confirmed as there’s a corruption petition against him still pending.

The All Progressives Congress' lawmakers continued with the confirmation in their absence. This has created a massive division between the lawmakers of the ruling and opposition party while Amaechi's highly debated confirmation still stands.
