One Dead, Many Trapped As Building Collapses In Ondo

A storey building located at Fanibi area of Akure, the Ondo State capital collapsed, leading to the death of a woman on Tuesday morning.

The building located at Fanibi junction was said to have collapsed at around 3am when occupants were asleep.

As of the time of filling this report, some occupants are trapped inside the collapsed building while the residents of the area had commenced rescue operation.

An eyewitness said the body of the deceased was pulled at about 6am and deposited at a morgue in the town while five others have been rescued alive.
