Panic As Gunmen Go Wild, Kill 1, Kidnap Students And Lecturers In Abia

In what will come across as a really shocking development, some gunmen have attacked a shuttle bus conveying students, lecturers and other commuters along Okigwe- Uturu Road, few metres from Abia State University.

It was confirmed that the shuttle bus driver was shot dead.

This came two days after seven students of Abia State University were kidnapped along the same route.

The Abia State governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, described the incident as yet another senseless kidnapping and unfortunate death of innocent citizens.

He said the state would leave no stone unturned to ensure that normalcy is quickly restored, assuring Abians of his total commitment.
