Yul Edochie Mocked For Slamming Nigerians Engaging In #ShettimaChallenge

 

Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has been called out on Twitter over a piece of advice he gave to netizens engaging in #ShettimaChallenge.

 

Nigerians had engaged in the viral outfit challenge of the All Progressives Congress (APC) vice presidential candidate, Kashim Shettima.

 

Shettima became an object of ridicule after his dressing to the NBA Conference to represent his party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu caught the attention of online users.

 

The former Governor of Borno State chose to forego his regular native wears for a suit and gym sneakers which became a trend on Twitter as Nigerians reacted to his outfit, mimicking him.

 

Reacting to the criticism that followed Shettima's dressing, Yul condemned the trend describing the challenge as a misplaced priority.

 

He wondered why Nigerians are bothered about Shettima’s outfit despite various challenges facing the country.

 

He wrote: “Nigerians & misplaced priorities. They’ll never trend important issues, only frivolities. Who cares about Shettima’s dressing?

However, Nigerians tackled him and ,ade a mockery of his infidelity and marriage to his colleague Judy Austin.
