Nigerians are condemning the different rates on the NIS website for states in the North and South.
The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has been lambasted on social media for charging different fees in Southern and Northern parts of the country.
Nigerians took to Twitter to condemn NIS, saying the different rates on the NIS website for states in the North and South is unjust.
The screenshots posted on social media compared the prices for a 32-page 5-year Standard Passport.
The fee in Ekiti, Imo, Abia, Ogun states show N25,000 while the fee for Sokoto, Adamawa, and Kaduna is between N10,000 - N15000.
Nigerians wondered why the fees in the South are higher than fees in the North.
