Kwankwaso had in a statement rejected an invitation to attend an interactive session organised for presidential candidates by the Committee.
The Northern Elders Forum has lashed out at the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
Kwankwaso had in a statement rejected an invitation to attend the interactive session organised for presidential candidates by the Committee.
Speaking further, Kwankwaso also stated that the NNPP had credible information that the interactive session had been compromised.
Reacting to the development, the spokesman of the Northern Elders Forum, Dr Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, challenged Kwankwaso to provide evidence to justify his allegation.
In an interview with The PUNCH, Baba-Ahmed stated that the NNPP candidate cannot corroborate his claim because it is baseless, adding that no one can compromise the session.
Baba-Ahmed said the forum sympathized with Kwankwaso because he made his case worse by creating the impression that he cannot face the people of the North.
He said, “We challenge him to prove what he said. He cannot, because he knows no one can compromise this process. Five candidates participated. Are they all idiots to submit and participate in a compromised platform?
“Kwankwaso has his problems, and we sympathize with him. He made them worse by creating the impression that he cannot face people of the North.”
