The trial within trial of Chidinma Ojukwu, the prime suspect fingered in the gruesome murder of Super TV boss, Usifo Ataga was stalled on Thursday by the Lagos State High Court sitting at the Tafawa Balewa Square, due to the absence of a prosecution witness.
Ms Ojukwu, a student of the University of Lagos, is standing trial alongside Adedapo Quadri and her sister, Chioma Egbuchu.
The case could not continue as one of the police officers, ASP Funke Madeyinlo, who was part of the team that arrested and interrogated Ojukwu, was absent from court.
Deputy director of public prosecutions Adenike Oluwafemi apologised to the court and said the witness called to inform her that she was out of jurisdiction and asked the court for an adjournment.
Justice Yetunde Adesanya adjourned the case till November 15 for continuation of trial.
