Japan pulled off another World Cup upset by beating Germany on Wednesday afternoon at the ongoing Qatar 2022 World Cup.
The game started in favour of Germany after IIkay Gundogan scored from the penalty spot in the 33rd minute.
However, a determined Japanese side turned things around in the 75th and 83rd minutes with goals from Ritsu Doan and Takuma Asano.
With the victory, Japan now leads the group.
Recall that Argentina suffered same fate in the hands of Saudi Arabia as the game ended 2-1 in favour of Saudi Arabia.
