Lady Dies Suddenly On The Morning of Her Wedding (Photo)

Nadia was very beautiful, absolutely stunning, loved life and loved to travel.

A woman has died on the day of her dream wedding.

The woman from East London died suddenly on the morning of her dream wedding in Trinidad, according to MyLondon.

Nadia Joseph-Gosine, who was described as 'beautiful', 'caring' and 'happy' by her distraught partner and sister, passed away on December 7, 2022, due to liver failure.

The 33-year-old from Beckton had travelled to Trinidad to get married to her partner of five years Devon Gosine, 37.

She had spent a few weeks in the country with Devon and her 10-year-old son Emari, but perished just hours before her wedding while her fiancé slept next to her.

Nadia's devastated sister Isha Daley, 37, knew she had struggled with liver and kidney problems in the past but was under the impression she had recovered.

Isha remembers Nadia as 'a mini rebel' who was 'very lively and feisty', telling MyLondon that her sister was a 'very entertaining person'.

'She just wanted to be happy. A little fire cracker. She was very beautiful. Absolutely stunning. And she loved life, loved to travel.'

Nadia's fiancé Devon told MyLondon she was 'the most loving, caring, and genuine person' and the love of his life.

Fighting back tears on the phone from Trinidad, he said: 'She would go all out for you and she was the most hard-working. She was always happy. Whatever she was going through she was always happy.

'She was the love of my life. She was always the best part of my life.'

He added: 'I can't stop being reminded of what happened. Seeing everything and still I'm in disbelief. After all that time we were finally getting married.

'We were preparing for the rest of our life and all of a sudden it gets taken away. It was the toughest thing.'

On the night before what was supposed to be their wedding day, Devon says he and Nadia were up late talking after some friends had called and wished them all the best ahead of the ceremony.

Devon said Nadia was struggling to sleep, but he thought she was just anxious about the big day.

He says he cuddled her and she fell asleep, but when he happened to wake up at around 2am, he kissed her on the cheek only to find she was completely unresponsive.

Realising something was wrong he called for help, but paramedics who arrived on the scene spent 45 minutes trying to resuscitate Nadia, to no avail.

'It just happened all of a sudden,' said Devon. 'At least she didn't have to suffer.'

Nadia's death came as a surprise but Isha, who works in the NHS, has since said she was told by doctors that her liver was so damaged she would have died two weeks later, even if she had got medical help.

Devon meanwhile is looking after Nadia's son Emari in Trinidad as if he was his own.

Emari has a different father, but he is not in contact with the family.

Isha said she was prepared to look after Emari once he returns to London along with her 16-year-old daughter, and is now trying to raise funds to book Emari's flight home and have his mother cremated.

Nadia had cancelled her life insurance just three months before her death and didn't have travel insurance.

Isha added that she doesn't think Emari has processed his mum's death yet, but 'he does know she is no longer here and everyone keeps him distracted'.

Isha told MyLondon that she is still in 'hopeful denial' and it won't be until Nadia is back home that she will fully come to terms with her loss.
