There will be a meeting between President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the immediate past president, Muhammadu Buhari and former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, today, at the Presidential Villa.
The president will also host Senate President Senator Godswill Akpabio; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, and other heavyweight members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) at the party’s National Caucus meeting.
It was gathered that the APC caucus meeting is scheduled to hold at the New Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa at 6 pm.
Other APC bigwigs expected to attend are Vice President Kashim Shettima, APC governors, former Senate president Ahmad Lawan and ex-Speaker of House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila, and members of the National Working Committee.
Speaking to The PUNCH, a reliable source in the Presidency said the President had given his consent to have the caucus meeting at the villa.
The APC chieftain disclosed that the caucus will tackle the lingering internal crisis within the party.
He also added that former Kano Governor Abdulahi Ganduje, and spokesperson for the ninth Senate, Senator Ajibola Basiru, may be officially pronounced as the acting National Chairman and Secretary, respectively, at the meeting.
The NEC meeting is scheduled to hold on Thursday at the Congress Hall of Transcorp Hilton in Abuja by 11.00 am.
