Selena Gomez, the famous American singer and actress, has revealed that she has plans of adopting children if she is still single at 35.
The 31-year-old said she conceived the plan after staying single for five years before entering a relationship with producer and songwriter, Benny Blanco, last year.
In a recent interview with Time Magazine, the former Disney star talked about how she struggled with loneliness initially and what helped her feel better about not being in a relationship.
“I was alone for five years, and I got really used to it,” she said.
“A lot of people are afraid of being alone and I probably tortured myself in my head for like two years being alone, and then I kind of accepted it. Then I came up with my plan, which was I was going to adopt at 35 if I had not met anyone.”
The singer said her current relationship with Blanco happened when she least expected it.
She confirmed she was dating Benny Blanco in December 2023.
Gomez dated The Weeknd, for a brief 10 months back in 2017, and before that, she was embroiled in a years-long, on-and-off relationship with Justin Bieber.
