How My Best Laid Plans For Marriage Failed – Actress, Ini Edo Opens Up

Nollywood star actress Ini Edo has opened up about how her carefully planned marriage did not go as expected.

Speaking on the Buzz podcast, she revealed that she married at 26, believing that by 31, she would have completed childbearing and could then focus on her career.

But then, the best laid plans could go horribly wrong as over six miscarriages dashed her plans.

”Getting married at 26 I thought by 31 I would have been done to face my career squarely but life didn’t pan out that way.

"I have had over six miscarriages, I don’t like going into it. It wasn’t a fancy way out for me. I have always wanted to do this. 

"I have lost half way mid way through and know what I have dealt with as a woman.”

In 2008, Ini Edo married Philip Ehiagwina an American-based business man. The marriage ended in September 2014 after six years. Ini Edo had her first child, a girl through surrogacy in the year 2021.
