Davido Recalls How He Spent His 1st N20M Endorsement Deal

Nigerian Afrobeats star, Davido has recounted how he spent the money he received from his first endorsement deal.

In an Instagram post, the singer shared a photo of himself holding the official documents from the deal and revealed it was worth N20 million. He was just 17 at the time and had only released two songs.

He stated that he paid his manager his percentage and then acquired a Chevrolet Camaro.

Not stopping there, he and his cousin B-Red, also an artist, rented out an entire floor at Eko Hotel for a week-long celebration, quickly burning through the money.

He wrote:

“1st endorsement deal. MY FIRST 20M NAIRA. I PAY ASA HIM PERCENTAGE. FROM THERE I GO BUY CAMARO. FROM CAMARO NAH EKO HOTEL. ME AND @BREDHKN ONE WHOLE FLOOR ONE WEEK. MONEY FINISH.”
