Popular Nigerian artiste manager, Ubi Franklin has revealed that he restricted his female signees from getting pregnant.
While speaking on the Culture Sonic podcast, the owner of Made Men Music Group record label, better known as Triple MG stated that he banned his female signees from getting pregnant because pregnancy disrupts artistes’ career.
Franklin stated that it’s difficult for a songstress without solid career to bounce back after childbirth.
He said: “So just imagine that you’re investing in female artiste and she gets pregnant, that is over because it would take a lot for her to come back. Mention new female artistes that got pregnant and came back.
“I’m not saying they can’t have children, but first build a strong career. If I am signing a female artiste, I always put it in the contract that they will not get pregnant for the duration of the contract.”
