Recall also that Burna is the first African artist to debut a song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in five consecutive years
Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Burna Boy has reached a new milestone by becoming the African artist with the most entries on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.
This comes after his collaborative hit with American rapper Gunna, ‘WGFT’ from the rapper’s new album The Last Wun, debuted at number 96 on this week’s Hot 100 chart, bringing Burna Boy’s total entries to seven.
The ‘Last Last’ hitmaker is also the first African artist to debut a song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in five consecutive years (2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025).
Recall that Burna Boy first graced the chart in 2021 with ‘Loved By You’ alongside Canadian pop star Justin Bieber. He made his first solo appearance in 2022, peaking at number 44 with ‘Last Last’.
Burna Boy also holds the record for the most entries by an African artist on the UK Singles Chart (26) and the Canadian Hot 100 (11).
