Marriage Is A Humiliation Ritual For Women - Reactions As Women Are Made To Kneel In Church While Their Sitting Husbands Celebrate Them

A man on X has stirred debate after questioning why women are often made to kneel before their husbands during moments of celebration organized by those same husbands.

A video shared on the platform documented what happened at a church program. 

During the program, wives were made to kneel in front of their sitting husbands while the husbands placed celebrated them. 

This did not go down well with a male X user and he wrote: "You people that are supposedly being celebrated also knelt down happily, while the person that is celebrating you is sitting down? How cute." 

A female X user responded: "Someone said marriage is a humiliation ritual for women… I wanted to get angry at first but when I think am well well I just mute." 

More Nigerians reacted, questioning the culture that expects women to always be on their knees.
