Mary Remmy Njoku, the Nollywood actress and producer, has shared her insights on attaining fame and success in the media industry.
She said that becoming well-known often requires taking bold or unusual actions rather than just doing good work.
Speaking at the NECLive panel, she talked about her own journey, explaining that she built her wealth and brand by solving problems in the creative sector.
She also acknowledged that the spotlight often goes to those who do extreme or surprising things.
She also encouraged young creatives to use their influence positively, despite the challenges of gaining recognition for genuine efforts.
She said: “I got rich by solving problems. If you want to blow right now, you can’t blow by doing good. You have to do something stupid or crazy right now. And it’s not fair on the very few people that are doing good.”
