Ghanaian filmmaker Habiba Sinare has recounted how her close friend’s husband became unusually friendly—going as far as calling her his “bestie”—after she spotted him at a restaurant with another woman.
Habiba, who is married to a Nigerian man, disclosed this in a Facebook post on Friday, January 23.
“I met one of my close friend’s husband at a restaurant with another lady and I went over to say hello..like a good, humble and respectful human being will,” she wrote.
"Snce that day ehn… this man has upgraded me to “bestie.” Anytime he sees me.. He will start with “eiii my bestiee has come oo” or “eii bestieee you don't ask of me at all”
"Then he will follow up with a loud laugh that never ends.
"And suddenly he wants to be present anytime I’m meeting her for lunch, brunch, or dinner.
“Help me understand this man oo or is he a fan now? I am tired of this by force bestieee thing all because of one helloooo at a restaurant.”
