My Sister Would Still Be Alive If I Was There — Content Creator, Deka George Laments After Losing Sibling During Childbirth

Content creator Deka George has once again opened up about the painful loss of her sister, Amaka, describing it as one of the most difficult experiences of her life.

According to her, the loss happened two weeks ago, and she is still struggling to come to terms with it.

She explained that they were four siblings but are now three, adding that the reality has been hard to accept.

She had revealed that her late sister left behind a newborn, and she now feels a responsibility to be present in the child’s life. 

Recounting what happened, she said her sister was initially taken to the hospital where she registered for antenatal care but was referred elsewhere due to high blood pressure.

At the second hospital, she alleged that despite complications during labour, there was a delay before a surgical procedure was carried out. After the baby was delivered, she said her sister began to have difficulty breathing.

She claimed that attempts to get medical attention were not handled urgently, and by the time further action was taken, her sister had passed away.

The woman also expressed frustration over the absence of a qualified doctor at the time and the response she received when she sought explanations from hospital staff.

She added that she was not in the same city when it happened, as she was dealing with legal battles after calling out a hair vendor over an unsatisfactory business transaction.

Deka believes she might have been able to intervene if she was present.
