Anja Ringgren Loven, the Danish aid worker, has posted a video of a young boy she rescued from the streets of Akwa Ibom.
The video she posted on Sunday, March 22, shows the day she rescued the boy now named Israel in 2024 and another video captured in 18 February 2026, while they were strolling in the orphanage.
The mother of one who earlier reported about the attack on her and her staff, said the incident occurred two hours after the stroll with Israel.
"Be a good person. Just be kind and good to people. This is what I tell my son every day. It seems like the easiest thing to be. Good and kind," she wrote.
"Unfortunately the world is filled with so much hate. I have witnessed hate that almost got me k!lled 1 month ago. I still struggle to understand.
"As the famous saying goes “nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity”
"This video shows the day I rescued Israel in 2024 and from the 18 of February 2026 where Israel and I were out strolling inside Land of Hope.
"Only 2 hours after strolling around with Israel I was held hostage, witnessed two of my staff members, one of our children and my security guards being forcibly dragged out of our bus by a mob who beat them almost to death.
"For more than 1 hour while I was being held hostage I was repeatedly told that I would be k!lled and not live to see the rest of the day.
“One of my staff members who was almost beaten to d3ath rescued Israel with me that day. But. I still choose kindness.”
