Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun and President Bola Tinubu's son, Seyi Tinubu, were among the prominent figures who made their way to the Ojude Oba festival held in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.
The festival was alive with vibrant displays of traditional fashion and cultural celebration, as various groups arrived dressed in flowing agbadas, geles, and elaborately beaded accessories, creating a visually stunning atmosphere.
Ojude Oba, which takes place on the third day following Eid-el-Kabir, is one of Nigeria's most anticipated cultural events, drawing thousands of attendees each year from politicians and celebrities to members of the Nigerian diaspora all coming together to honour Ijebu heritage and identity.
This year's celebration, however, carried a bittersweet tone, as it was the first edition held without the late Oba Sikiru Adetona, the revered Awujale of Ijebuland, who passed away in July last year after an impressive 65-year reign.
