A video has emerged online showing two elderly men believed to be held by bandits in Kebbi State, sparking concern among residents and social media users.

One of the captives is identified as a former chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Koko-Besse Local Government Area, while the other is named as Yahya.

The footage, shared by conflict reporter English Alhaji, shows both men making direct appeals to their families, community leaders, and government officials to urgently work toward securing their freedom.

The former APC chairman revealed that both he and his fellow captive are in deteriorating health, noting that he relies on regular medication under normal circumstances.

He described how they have been forced to trek long distances through forests alongside their abductors, further worsening their condition.

Yahya similarly called for urgent intervention, stating that they have been in captivity for a prolonged period without any rescue.

Both men appealed to relatives, associates, and relevant authorities to take immediate steps to reunite them with their families.

The video has reignited public concern over the persistent threat of kidnapping and banditry across parts of northern Nigeria.

As of the time of reporting, security agencies had not released any official statement regarding the video or the current situation of the two captives.
