Yul Edochie, an actor and filmmaker, has responded to demands on social media asking him to become involved in a conflict involving his wife Judy Austin's ex-husband, Emmanuel Obasi, and their children.
In a message on his social media page, Edochie emphasized that he is not involved in the situation and underlined that he has never stopped anyone from visiting their kids.
He believes that Obasi and Judy Austin should deal directly with any arrangement pertaining to access to the kids.
"I've received messages from some of my fans asking me to let him see his kids." I have never prevented someone from visiting their kids.
If he wants to see or take his kids, tell him to give his ex-wife a call so they can talk about it. He's got her number. Edochie wrote, "It has nothing to do with me.
By bringing his name into personal matters, he also criticized what he called the increasing trend of people pursuing influence and social media income.
He responded after Judy Austin's ex-husband, Emmanuel Obasi, made a number of accusations in an emotional podcast interview that sparked a lot of online backlash.
Speaking on the show, Obasi asserted that when they were still married, Judy Austin's adoration for Edochie went beyond that of a typical admirer.
"Yul Edochie's wife, Judy Austin, was formerly married to me. "Together, we have two kids," Obasi remarked. Judy would lose interest in everything else whenever Yul Edochie appeared on the screen when we were watching TV.
She would openly tell me that she adored Yul and would never stop complimenting him. They were dating under my roof, and I have proof of it.
During the interview, Obasi also shared old family and wedding photos.
Judy Austin, however, has consistently refuted claims that she had a romantic involvement with Edochie while she was still married to Obasi.
She insisted that her connection with Edochie started years after her divorce from Obasi, which terminated in March 2013.
Fans, celebrities, and social critics have all responded to the heated public debate around Edochie's public introduction of Judy Austin as his second wife.
