Nollywood Mourns as Atinuke Kareem Loses Battle With Breast Cancer

Nigerian actress Atinuke Remilekun Kareem has died after a long fight with breast cancer.

The news was announced Tuesday afternoon by the Ogun State branch of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria.

Atinuke had appealed to the public for help with her medical treatment about four months before she passed away.

Many people had responded with financial support, prayers, and encouragement during her illness.

The association released a statement thanking everyone who had contributed to her care.

They said that despite all the efforts and prayers, Atinuke had passed on.

The statement added that they accept God's will and hope He grants her eternal rest and gives her family, colleagues, and loved ones the strength to cope with the loss.

Since her death, colleagues and fans have mourned the actress and sent condolences to her family.
