Military troops have arrested two suspected t3rrorist logistics suppliers and seized a large stash of motorcycle spare parts that were allegedly being sent to Boko Haram and ISWAP fighters in the Yunusari-Mobbar area.

The operation took place on Tuesday after soldiers received intelligence about supplies being transported to t3rrorist groups.

Acting on the tip-off, troops from a battalion under sector command in Yobe State, working with other security forces, conducted a patrol and stopped the suspected supplies at Gumsa Bridge in Geidam.

The haul included large quantities of motorcycle tyres, crankshafts, oil seals, traffic indicators, brake cables, bearings, brake parts, gaskets, chains and sprockets.

Police also found speedometers, clutch plates, engine coils, fuel-related components and other motorcycle parts, 145 pairs of shoes and two mobile phones.

The suspects and recovered items were handed over to military intelligence for further investigation and action.

Military officials said the interception was another successful effort to break up t3rrorist supply networks and cut off critical materials t3rrorists need to carry out their operations.

The military said it remains determined to dismantle t3rrorist support systems across the region.

The military urged the public to continue passing reliable information to security agencies to help counter-t3rrrorism efforts.
