Fatal Clash Breaks Out as Mob Targets Drug Enforcement Officers in Bauchi

An NDLEA officer has been k!lled during a drug enforcement operation in Bauchi State.

The incident happened on Tuesday in a community in Toro Local Government Area.

According to residents, officers were carrying out an operation targeting an area where young people were gathering to use and sell illegal drugs.

When they arrested one of the youths, some others in the area resisted and tried to stop the officers from taking the suspect away.

The situation quickly turned violent.

One of the youths att@cked an NDLEA officer with a sharp object during the struggle.

The officer was stabb£d in the stomach and k!lled.

The attackers immediately fled the scene.

The other officers stayed and tried to help their injured colleague.

The NDLEA command in Bauchi State has now launched a manhunt for the suspected k!ller.

They've released a photograph of the wanted person on their social media pages and are appealing to the public for help in identifying and locating him.
